RLX-I3

RLX-I3 is an open architecture robot controller (RLX-C1) and software that provides unmatched tools for robotics research and product development.  RLX-I3 is available with a select number of robot arms and also by itself for custom robot development.
IS RLX-I3 RIGHT FOR YOU?
RLX-I3 is suitable for robotics researchers and robot developers that want a PC-based high performance robot control system.  RLX-I3 is suitable for you if:
  1. Your research involves tight integration between your application software/algorithms and the robot motion control system.
  2. You are developing telerobotic, haptic, force control, visual servoing, or similar applications and the performance you get by integration with traditional robot controllers is not sufficient.
  3. You are developing capabilities that can enhance the functionality of current industrial robots but cannot suitably integrate them with traditional robot controllers.
  4. Your application may require access to low-level servo control parameters such as control gains, notch filters, vibration frequencies, etc.
  5. You are developing robotic hardware that will require a state-of-the-art EtherCAT based robot control system and software.
  6. You want a smaller and lighter robot controller that is modular and whose components can be integrated in to your hardware flexibly. For example, if you are building a mobile manipulation system, all control hardware components can be integrated in to the base of the mobile platform.
ROBOT ARMS AVAILABLE WITH RLX-I3
RLX-I3 has built in software support and controllers for a selection of high dexterity seven axis single and dual arm robots.
  • RLX-I3 supported arms give developers choices with regards to widely used industrial manipulators.
  • Industrial grade robot motion control software and hardware.
  • Viable path to transition developments to commercial applications in large markets.
RLX-C1 CONTROLLER
  • The RLX-C1 compact controller replaces the original industrial robot controller.
  • RLX-C1 uses EtherCAT for real-time integration with a PC running user application software.
  • High bandwidth control performance in terms of trajectory update rates and lower following error.
  • General purpose servo amplifiers allow researchers and product developers access to low level servo parameters.
RLX-I3 SOFTWARE
  • A C++ software development interface simplifies userRLX-I3 Application Software Architecture application/algorithm development and its integration with robot motion control.
  • The software interface provides user applications a 1000 Hz trajectory update/feedback rate.
  • Built in a dynamics engine that provides highly accurate estimated torques which can be used for force control, collision detection, etc.
